AbstractThe Hong Kong government expects to shave an estimated HK$45 million a year off maintenance costs following the completion of an all new digital computer network for the Hong Kong Housing Authority. Due to become operational at the beginning of April, the network will help speed maintenance requests from almost 2.7 million residents who live in public sector housing. Supplied by Cisco Systems, the new network forms part of the Housing Authority's new Maintenance Information Systems and Infrastructure Support (MISIS) computer project, and will represent the largest Interfrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) installation in the territory.
