| Abstract | The Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China which people at home and abroad are following closely was adopted at the Seventh Session of the Standing Committee of the Eighth National People's Congress on May 12 this year and is scheduled to formally take effect as of July 1. This is an important move China has taken to bring its economy in line with the world economy, as well as a major event of great significance in the history of China's foreign economic and trade. |
