| Abstract | The morale of the Buddhist community in the Jiuhua mountains has been significantly lifted by the mummification of a monk who died in January 1991. The Xinhua News Agency recently quoted the Guangzhou-based Yangcheng Evening News (Yangcheng Wanbao) as saying that the monk, Ci Ming, had predicted six years before his death in the Shuangxi temple that his body would resist decay. |
