| Abstract | Accident & Emergency Special Clinical Information System (A&E S.C.I.S.) is primarily designed to capture clinical details of patients in A&E such as attendance and discharge times, conditions of patients, diagnoses, prescriptions etc. and provide the information to a Hong Kong wide Computerized Patient Record in order to promote the quality of continuous patient care. In addition, there is strong demand by the hospital management to monitor the day-to-day operation of their A&E department and by the Hospital Authority Head Office to co-ordinate and monitor the workload and resource utilization across different hospitals. |
