| Abstract | The Basic Law (Annex II) stipulates that the second term after 1997, the SAR legislature shall have six members returned by an Election Committee which comprises 800 members from various sectors of the society. (Basic Law Annex I) For the first term however, the Basic Law has not stipulated how it shall be composed because it had envisaged the "through train" concept. |
