| Abstract | As far as business and Hong Kong are concerned, there is an issue that stands out like a barren rock: survival. Fortune magazine's recent cover story The Death of Hong Kong, which predicts that the territory will become a ghost city after China takes over on June 30, 1997, has stirred up a hornet's nest of debate, analysis and prediction. It is very much a business issue, as much as a political or social one, because business is Hong Kong's raison d'etre. |
