| Abstract | Buildings whose Crown lease expires after 1997 but before 2047 are presenting problems to would-be mortgagers. A spokesman for Hong Kong Bank said a mortgage would only be provided for the term of the Crown lease since once the lease expired, the mortgage became an unsecured loan. |
