Abstract | Can American-style warehouse clubs (or wholesale clubs as they are also known) draw enough interest to be successful in Hong Kong? Two researchers at City University of Hong Kong have decided that while Hong Kong shoppers tend to prefer greater services and upmarket atmospherics than these outlets provide, they will tolerate these lacks to enjoy the 40 percent discount on goods which clubs typically offer. |
