| Abstract | Hongkong's health services are fragmented, badly coordinated and inefficiently distributed throughout the territory, claim critics. In addition, the increasing trend towards expensive, hospital-based health delivery at the expense of developing primary care and preventive medicine, is setting the future special administrative region up for a potentially huge financial burden. An urgent review of the system is needed. |
