| Abstract | Ruthless bosses in pursuit of a cut-price and flexible workforce are increasingly employing foreign workers and abusing their rights,say social workers. The employers cash in on foreigners' ignorance of the territory's labour regulations and their fear of losing their jobs. Social workers say such labourers are attractive to unscrupulous companies because they are "uncomplaining," do anything they are told and, most of all, are "cheap." |
