| Abstract | The official Chinese media has accused Taiwan's Lee Teng-hui of betraying the cause of reunification and advocating independence for the breakaway island province. Meanwhile, China announced the conclusion of an eight-day guided missile test in the East China Sea, a mere 150km northeast of Taipei, two days ahead of schedule. Six surface-to-surface missiles were launched, reported Xinhua, and all hit the targets accurately. |
