| Abstract | In March 1994, the EU introduced Union-wide quotas on certain Chines imports, whereby the quota regime has been extended to previously quota-free member countries for 7 categories of China-made products, including gloves, footwear, tableware and kitchenware of porcelain or China, other ceramic tableware and kitchenware, glassware, radios and toys. Quota restrictions have also been extended to silk and some other textile products not covered by the China/EU Textiles Agreement. |
