| Abstract | After the Hong Kong Government had announced the introduction of a "Retirement Protection Scheme", many political parties, community groups as well as the general public voiced their views constantly. As a result, proposals have been formed into two main streams after constant discussions, consultation and publicity campaigns. Mr. Ng, Community Organiser of the Society for Community Organisations (SOCO), and Li Zhuo Ren, General Secretary of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, were interviewed. From their viewpoints, thereare different opinions about the two proposals which are quite diverse within the communities. |
