| Abstract | In the annals of Chinese history, the name Jingdezhen is of great importance - for far better reasons than the fact that foreigners have always struggled to pronounce it. This was the ceramic capital of the Middle Kingdom, and few other centres could even begin to rival it. However, when it came to one specific type of porcelain, Jingdezhen definitely took second place to the town of Dehua in Fujian province. |
