| Abstract | The aim of this report is to call attention to the fact that small doses of benzodiazepines (BZD), given orally or parenterally, can temporarily reverse catatonic symptoms. This treatment option has yet to become part of clinical lore. Four case vignettes of patients over the aged of 60 presenting with catatonic symptoms are described. |
