| Abstract | On the basis of utilizing reform and opening policies of the state and the special zone policies to realize the rapid economic development in the 1980s, Zhuhai, one of the five special economic zones in China, is shifting its focus of economic development on the west. The West District of Zhuhai which covers an area of more than 1,000 square km is now accelerating the construction of road and bridges and, at the same time, building the large seaports, the power plant and the international airport. |
