| Abstract | To beigin with, the Hengdaohezi Field Breeding Centre acquired more a dozen Northeast tigers from zoos and breeding farms in other parts of the country. With a total investment of RMB 10 million (US$1.16 million ) in the past eight years, the centre has successfully multiplied its Northeast tiger population to 73, with 57 born and nurtured there. |
