| Abstract | Despite Hong Kong's booming economy, liquidations of business enterprises are on the increase. In the first six months of 1994, the Official Receiver states that the number of new insolvency cases to reach the courts totalled 388, an increase of almost 9% when compared with the same period in 1993. |
