| Abstract | Looking ahead to 1993, banking business in Hong Kong is expected to be fostered by favourable business environment. In 1993, prospects for Western economies will generally improve. The economy of China as well as those in other parts of South-east Asia will continue to prosper. The Hong kong economy with its good fundamentals will be able to sustain its growth. On the whole, therefore, the banking industry in Hong Kong will enjoy good support from the demand side. |
