| Abstract | In two recent cases, the Hong Kong High Court decided whether proceeds received by corporate taxpayers from the disposal of land constituted income from an " adventure in the nature of trade. " Hong Kong profits tax applies only if the taxpayer carries on a trade, profession, or business in Hong Kong. |
