| Abstract | Sports and leisure facilities provided by the Urban and Regional councils fulfill an essential role in contributing to the quality of life of Hong Kong residents. From modest beginnings, the two councils now operate thousands of venues, including 234 squash courts, 207 tennis courts and 27 swimming pool complexes. |
