| Abstract | The movement of manufacturers out of Hong Kong and into southern China has created a flood of re-exports, increasing the need for cargo transport in and out of the territory. This is reflected in significant increases in both the value and weight of air and sea freight shipped in 1990 over the previous year. And there are no signs that this flow will ebb anytime soon. |
